Equitree Capital is an Investment firm focused on investing in listed small and micro cap emerging businesses with bright prospects and strong management whose full potential is yet to realize in the market.

Founded by professionals with hands on entrepreneurial and investing experience across private & public arena, we seek to take a pragmatic “business like” approach to investing, driving outsized returns.

Starting as a proprietary investment firm, we have now morphed in to a SEBI registered Portfolio Manager to align with like minded investors looking to create long term value through fundamental based investing in emerging businesses.

Currently, we are investing through our maiden Equitree Emerging Opportunities strategy.

Pawan is the driving force of the company and spearheads all investments at Equitree. He has been an astute investor with over 20 years of successful investing experience across private & public markets. His calm and patient demeanor with a dogged attitude to detailing profoundly assists in identifying niche investment opportunities early on and taking long term bets. Prior to co-founding Equitree, he has held senior positions in private equity firms like Nine Rivers Capital, Axis Holdings & Frontline Ventures. In early part of his career, he has also worked with global organizations like Chase Manhattan Bank and ABN Amro Bank. Pawan is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University and is based in Mumbai.

Ssuneet lends the most uncommon “common sense” approach to investing at Equitree. His wealth of over 20 years of rich entrepreneurial experience helps in connecting dots and validating assumptions of diversified businesses across sectors. His successful stint as a real estate investor also comes in handy in defining risks & execution challenges. Prior to co-founding Equitree, he has been an in-house advisor to a number of small and mid-sized companies for their financial needs as well as tax matters. He has also been responsible for managing financial function for his family’s diversified businesses (textile, chemicals, infra ancillary etc.). Ssuneet is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Bachelor of Commerce from Ajmer University and is based in Mumbai.

Sudhir brings over 30 years of ‘all-round’ experience in equities (investments, research & sales) coupled with strong industry exposure. He is one of the founding members at Equitree. Prior to joining Equitree he has had a successful stint as an investment banker focused on fund syndication for small and micro sized companies. A natural people’s person, he brings a strong network of relationships across India focused private equity funds & fund managers, real estate funds, and Ultra High Net worth Investors amongst others. In early part of his career, he has also successfully managed start-ups and has helped them scale up. Sudhir is a Bachelor of Engineering (Textiles) and has also done an Executive Program at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. Sudhir is based in Pune.

Forum brings over two years of experience in equity research and has a keen eye for analysing business models. Prior to joining Equitree, she has previously worked with Equentis Wealth Advisory Services Pvt Ltd. A passionate investor and an avid reader, flipping through books on investment has become a habit for her. Forum holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai University and has cleared all three levels of the CFA examination.

FORUM MAKIM

Forum brings over two years of experience in equity research and has a keen eye for analysing business models. Prior to joining Equitree, she has previously worked with Equentis Wealth Advisory Services Pvt Ltd. YASH KUKREJA

Yash is deeply passionate about finance and capital markets, with 2.5 years of experience in equity research. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai University, where he specialized in Accounting and Finance. Currently, Yash is advancing his expertise by pursuing his CFA Level II certification.

Yash's dedication to his field, combined with his academic background and ongoing professional development, positions him as a skilled and knowledgeable finance professional.

MAHIMA GUPTA

Mahima brings over 15 years of back office operational experience. Her eye for detail and impeccable record in setting up back office operations and processes is critical in ensuring smooth & efficient client servicing at Equitree. Prior to joining Equitree, she has had a long stint at IndusInd Bank, one of the leading private sector banks in India. Mahima holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Pune University.

Mahima brings over 15 years of back office operational experience. Her eye for detail and impeccable record in setting up back office operations and processes is critical in ensuring smooth & efficient client servicing at Equitree. Prior to joining Equitree, she has had a long stint at IndusInd Bank, one of the leading private sector banks in India. Mahima holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Pune University.

NIHIT SANGOI

Nihit Sangoi has been associated with equity market since 2005. Prior to Joining Equitree he has been a trader and trainer on Delta hedging Prop Desk. He has set up Equitree’s Delta hedging desk and trained several traders to become full time traders His ideology revolves around how NOT to lose money in market. Making money is a by-product of discipline, risk management, position sizing and use of leverage. He is a Bachelor of Commerce and is a student in the market everyday!

HARSHIL SOLANKI

Harshil has one year of experience in the capital markets. Prior to joining Equitree, he has worked with a wealth management outfit which managed ~ Rs 2,500 crore in assets where he was responsible for research on direct equities as well as evaluating and monitoring other Portfolio Management schemes and Mutual Fund schemes. His interest ranges from dissecting the various business models to trekking in the Western Ghats. Harshil is a Chartered Accountant and is a CFA Level 3 candidate.

REHAN LALJEE

Rehan has a strong passion for equities and brings a wealth of experience to the table. He has previously interned at an investment advisory firm and spent a year with the E&Y internal audit team, honing his skills. With two years of experience in equity research, Rehan possesses a deep understanding of various business cycles and actively seeks innovative ways to stay healthy and balanced.

Rehan holds a business administration degree with a specialization in finance from NMIMS and is currently pursuing his CFA Level 2 certification. His diverse background and commitment to professional growth make him a valuable asset in the world of finance.
